A Granola Journey: From Christmas Gifts to Your Table

The idea for Nola byBric was born a few years ago when I decided to create homemade granola as a Christmas present for my friends. It started as a small holiday project, carefully curating the ingredients and packaging to share a bit of love and warmth with the people I care about. The granola was a hit, and I found myself making it year after year.

As time went on, my good friend Johanna encouraged me to take this passion further. She was opening a pop-up shop in Zurich and wanted to serve my granola for breakfast. Her belief in my product pushed me to transform this homemade gift into a brand that could reach a wider audience. Thus, Nola byBric was born, as a collaboration born out of friendship and a shared love for quality food.

Design and Passion: The Birth of byBric’s Brand Identity

Beyond granola, I’ve always had a deep passion for graphic design and drawing. When it came time to create the branding for byBric, I knew I wanted something fresh, vibrant, and reflective of the joy and energy that goes into every batch of Nola. Our branding embodies our motto, “The Future is Handmade,” by blending simple, modern lines with whimsical traditional elements. Each fruit you see on the package has been hand drawn on an iPad, combining the precision of digital tools with the warmth of handcrafted artistry. The labels are printed on reflective paper, symbolizing self-reflection within the food industry—a call for a more thoughtful and sustainable approach to what we eat.

Perfecting the Recipe: A Commitment to Quality and Values

Creating the perfect granola didn’t happen overnight. I tested countless recipes, tweaking and refining until I found the ideal balance of flavors and textures. My goal was not only to make something delicious but also to align with my values. I believe the food world should move towards less industrialization, and that’s why I’m committed to using only the finest organic ingredients. It’s about supporting a food culture that’s more sustainable, transparent, and connected to the earth.

By focusing on small-batch production, we can guarantee that every bite you take is packed with flavor, crunch, and the perfect amount of care.

We want you to enjoy our granola at its peak, which is why we ensure it’s as fresh as possible. Every batch is labeled with a “Best Before” date that’s 3 months from the production date, so you can savor every bite knowing it’s at its most delicious. Our packages are sealed and re-sealable to ensure maximum freshness, so you can enjoy our granola at its very best.
